OOTD: Autumnal Bliss

November is already here!
It heralds in my favorite US holidays, Thanksgiving and Black Friday (puhaha), and ushers in the beginning of winter, at which point I will shift the majority blog focus from outfits to beauty and food to keep with that theme of indulgent consumption and holiday celebrations.

Before the weather gets too cold, I snapped a whole lotta outfit photos. This one perfectly encapsulates autumnal feelings by tweaking already go-to basics with burnt maroon, copper, forest green, and chestnut.
Take the basics of a white tee and blue jeans, for example.

I found this boxy cotton sweater at H&M. It is slightly cropped, so if I raise my arms above my head, a bit of skin peeks through. This cut balances the longer sleeves and boyish shape, and nothing beats how comfortable it is. I bought it in two other colors, naturally :)
The jeans are like second-skin, neither high-waisted nor low-rise. No zippers or flares at the ends, perfect for tucking into ankle boots.
And of course, my Céline Tricolor Mini Luggage Bag is basically a tangible form of autumn.

The most infamous Chanel nail polish color on my nails: Peridot. I remember very clearly that this nail color was the catalyst that started my now very extensive nail polish collection. At the time of its limited edition release, it was so unique that it sold out in most locations very quickly and people began to "hunt" for it, stocking up and selling extras on Ebay for exorbitant prices. It's a gorgeous duo-chrome of shimmery bronze-gold and frosty turquoise-green, depending on how the light hits it.
The easiest way to pull together an outfit? A hat and/or scarf.
Obsessed with my Louis Vuitton Monogram Shawl. It's perfect to twirl around your neck as a scarf or drape over your shoulders as a shawl when you're feeling a bit chilly.
Forest green hat. You've seen it in other colors before on the blog- it's no secret that I love the shape! It always makes me feel like a *~*wizard*~*.
These photos were taken before Perseus got bitten on the top of his head and right ear by The Corgie. I'm still pretty angry and upset about that but Perseus is fine now so I'm just thankful that it wasn't more serious- apparently, once Corgies lock their jaws into something, they'll shake and shake and will not let go. Perseus was bitten shallowly and managed to wriggle out, thank goodness. Here he is giving me his paw.
Did the standard shower-and-braid-and-leave-in-overnight for the mermaid waves. Shout-out to my mom for this life hack that she taught me in 1st grade haha.
Hat: Korean vendor (pretty much found the exact same style and color here)
Shawl: Louis Vuitton Monogram Shawl (how gorgeous is this dusty pink one?!)
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs in a Rose Gold (similar here)
Nails: Chanel Le Vernis in Peridot (as far as I know, this is not available unless you find it in some dusty bin in a random corner of the world as it was limited edition)
White Short-Sleeved Cotton Sweater: H&M (similar cream colored sweater here)
Skinny basic jeans: BLK DNM in Utica Blue
Ankle boots: H&M (very similar and surprisingly for less here)
Bag: Céline Tricolor Mini Luggage Handbag in Calfskin and Suede

It looks like I'm embarking on an Indiana-Jones luxploration with my trusty sidekick companion, Perseus, leading the way, doesn't it?
I'm parked at the hospital with lots of time and loads of backlogged pictures, so expect a big catchup with the blogposts! And Korean hospital food is worst than airplane food. Riddle me this: how does an establishment on the ground with more readily available resources have lower quality food than something in the air that must be prepared with a limited heat/refrigeration source? Mind boggled, stomach churned.

Happy Monday!
