Beauty: NARS Holiday Palette + NARS Audacious Lipstick in Lana

I thought I'd post a quick beauty post since there hasn't been one here in forever. I've still been buying my skincare and makeup goodies, but just haven't done any blogposts on them.
We all know I am a sucker for limited edition palettes, and NARS being one of my favorite makeup brands, I just had to get my hands on this all-in-one set, perfect for travel. I also got a mini mirror as a NARS VIP member (aka I spend way too much money at NARS).
Gorgeously sleek minimalistic packaging but with the Laser Cut holiday design on the palette.
At $59 USD, or 85,000 KRW (ridiculous price inflation for Koreans *shakes fist at Customs*), the Laser Cut Palette includes 3 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, and 1 limited edition mini lipgloss.
The top part reveals three eyeshadows: a matte vanilla that I use as a base, a shimmering golden-brown that I use on the inner of my eyelids, and a matte army green that I use as a gradient from light to dark from my mid-lids to the outer edges. All three colors are perfectly suited for daytime wear because it's not dark or harsh.
The blush is "Day Dream", a sheer peach. I swatched it and it gives a really subtle flush. The bronzer on the right is the cult favorite "Laguna", a darkish brown golden shimmer. It tends to look Jersey Shore orange on my face if I don't apply with a very light touch.
NARS Dolce Vita Lipgloss (apparently an exclusive color for this palette) is a mini size, which is pretty much the reason why I bought this palette in the first place. If I could buy everything in mini size, I would.

Dolce Vita is a dusty rose. On my lips, it's creamy, glossy, and long-lasting. A gorgeous, subtle daytime color.
Not so subtle is my newest lip obsession for the holiday season: NARS Audacious Lipstick in Lana.

It looks neon in the tube but omigawd this shade is gorgeous on the lips. It's described as a "vivid orange red" but because of its warm undertones, it flatters every skin tone. I actually bought it when I read in Elle about how it was the perfect compromise between "last spring's orange crush and a classic Hollywood red". On the Asian skin, the satin finish and intense color instantly glams up any look, which I can firmly attest to, but apparently it looks good on any complexion.
So my travel makeup is sorted, and my holiday lip is sorted, although I have a sneaky suspicion that some damage will be done at Duty Free and at the malls of where I'm going. Nothing like a holiday and tax exemption to justify spending money, amirite?

Happy hump day! Watch this space for some delicious posts coming your way on Friday :)
