Travels: Ko Samui Part Two

I've been to all the different parts of Thailand many times throughout my life.
I've experienced the 5-star romantic resorts, slumming it and dealing with sketchy gangsters and Thai Police in downtown Phuket, or just doing the whole hedonistic beach party all night, beach party all day kind of thing. I would have to say that this most recent trip falls in the latter category, and having become somewhat of an expert in this matter, I present to you one of the best places to get hedonistic: Nikki Beach Ko Samui Resort.
By far the best time to go is during the weekdays. Weekends are crowded, drunken, champagne-showers-stinging-my-eyeballs kind of affairs. No one likes champagne showers, put that shit away and drink it.
But! On the weekdays, you get your pick of the sunbeds, even going for two if you're a space hog like myself, and just drink watermelon mojitos and sink deep into a good book while a DJ plays techno music softly in the background. Pure relaxation and just the thing for a hangover from the shenanigans of the night before. Because the best cure for a hangover is just to drink some more, naturally. This is fact.
And what goes best with a hangover? CHICKEN QUESADILLAS.
 Lunch with a view <3

After all those noms, it was time for a dip in the pristine pool. Another great thing about going on a weekday (in this case, a Thursday)? No jostling and hooting and splashing going on around here, no sir.
It's just you and the water, and you can be freeeeeeeeeeeeee. (The dj's music does play underwater though, which, in its muffled way, is oddly soothing.)

After my dip, dried off whilst catching up on my emails, IG, and cracked through a few chapters on my Kindle.

Then we went to the deck for some selfie time with the beautiful backdrop.
Bikini is from Agent Provocateur, my fave bikini brand, as you may have guessed by now. Hat representing ATL per usual.

And what is a heysarahlee blogpost without one of these suckers?

If you haven't already, you can read about my Ko Samui adventures Part One here!

Happy Friday! I have taken some glorious OOTD photos that perfectly encapsulate the Seoul autumn spirit, so I'm really looking forward to revealing some on Monday! Have a delightful weekend and dance like no one is watching!
