OOTD: Pink Pom Poms

Oh, that glorious season we call autumn that is sandwiched between the sweltering summer and the sudden chilly winter.
I savor in the unpredictability of it all. It might be 30°C (86°F weather for you other non-metric people) during the day with drops of 7°C (44°F) at night, and it keeps me on my toes to up my outfit game without looking like a slob and still not freeze my toosh off.
Now, back in college, the standard uniform was leggings, a big sweatshirt and UGGs, but I Am An Adult now, there's an expectation that I pull myself together and put on something somewhat presentable.
Seoul is always blessed with beautiful sunshine during its crisp weather which inspires me to go knee-highs socks, mini leather skirts, and crop tops, even in October. I saw this perfect combo the other day at H&M, enough to buy one of each color (mint, black, and plum) in matching crop tops and skirts. Here is is, yo:
The crop top has pom pom details, and OMG what a nostalgic throwback. Did anyone have a pompom security blanket when they were little? Or it reminds me of furtively picking off the pompoms of my aunt's doilies and seat cushions. Muhaha.
Best buy EVER: this Céline Phantom bag goes with literally everything, and holds my Mac Air 11", mini iPad, 2 books (currently Beowulf and Their Eyes Were Watching God), one full sized wallet, one pouch filed with chargers and earphones, one mini wallet case, one mini makeup bag filled with emergency makeup essentials, my car keys, and a bottle of water. I'll do a "What's in My Bag" post soon.
On to the clothes:
Pink pom pom crop top: H&M (can't find anything similar, sorry!)
Skater skirt: H&M (similar here or here)
Knee-high socks: H&M (similar here)
Ankle boots: H&M (exact dupe here except with shearling lining gasp!)
Watch: Michael Kors Silver Slim Runway Watch (I wear this sucker everywhere, it matches everything!)
Purse: Céline Phantom Lux Tote

This post was not sponsored by H&M, I just found everything that matched in one shopping trip and done and done. Shopping is better when everything is in one place.

Happy Monday! I was in a four-car collision whilst in the back of a taxi on Friday and thought nothing of it after they shipped me to the hospital in the ambulance because they gave me some excellent painkiller shots in my ass after undergoing the CT scans and the X-rays, but when I went in for a follow-up today, it turns out I have a hairline fracture in my nose that may shift further if untreated. So that is something to look forward to: 5 days of being shut up in a hospital after they rebreak and realign the bone. I've prepared to consume all seasons of Downton Abbey and all the old classics of the Twilight Zone TV series if my Kindle fails to interest me. Let me just say though: I was sitting in the back of the taxi, with my seat belt on, and I still slammed into the front of the innocuously smooshy front car seat with enough force to fracture my nose. It doesn't matter if you're going 0.5 km down the street or 80 km down on a road trip: WEAR YOUR FUCKING SEATBELT.

That has been your public service announcement. Tomorrow Diplo plays in Seoul again, and Lord knows I love me some Diplo. Mayhaps I'll see you there?
