OOTD: The Blue Skort

I hate the word "skort".
I really do. In fact, I consider most word amalgamations lazy and informal. However, there is just no other word to describe this gorgeous little thing I bought at a local Korean boutique in Apgujong's Rodeo Street (압구정 로데오거리). And while I hate the etymology of the word "skort", I love the functional aspect of skorts- they are flirty and fun without any of the worry of a gust of wind showing your skivvies to the world.

Since the color and pattern are fairly bold, I paired it with a long-sleeved semi-sheer white shirt.

The skirt cinches in the waist and flares out into flouncy perfection.

Shirt: H&M (similar sheer white one here)
Skort: Korean boutique (can't find a blue print one but similar floral ones here and here)
Wedges: Tommy Hilfiger (similar TH wedges here)

The skirt has that cerulean blue color that I adore, with a pattern that is both geometric and floral.

My trusty Tommy Hilfiger wedges are super comfortable and I can wear- and have worn- them all day; that is a bold statement from someone who refuses to wear anything even slightly uncomfortable anymore.

The wind was gusty that day but no fear! My skort kept my bum covered.

Hope you're having a wonderful Monday. My end-of-the-summer plans have been finalized, and I couldn't be happier with some of the places I'll be going to. Watch this space for some wanderlustin'!
