Cherry Blossoms 2014

Every year, the cherry blossom trees in Seoul discuss amongst themselves and decide to have a week-long party to celebrate the coming of spring. They get dressed in their Sunday best to burst out and shower the streets with their petals. Some of the most spectacular trees bloom on Namsan in April, so this blogpost is just a teeny weeny bit belated.

Sweater: Forever 21 mint green with white piping on the edges and curiously enough, buttons on the back. It always looks like I have it on backwards :P
Pants: H&M (white trousers are my go-to for spring)
Shoes: Zara
Bag: Prada Double-Zip in Cammeo
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Pale, proud, and translucent, the cherry blossoms decided that they would grow anywhere they darn well pleased.

In certain places, the cherry blossoms stack upon each other to resemble a gloriously textured white ceiling.

Of course, this little monkey put on his best navy outfit and decided to park himself smack dab in the middle of my photos.

He knows he is a star and will permit you to pet him... for a biscuit.

These guys had the right idea- grab a picnic lunch, park yourself at the public picnic tables, and nibble while enjoying the view and balmy weather.

He is shying away from my kisses, the little minx!

If you're keen to see the cherry blossoms in Seoul, there are about two weeks in April that the bloom party goes on, but every year it depends on how early on the weather becomes warm. This year it was fairly early, so Google first before booking a flight to Seoul to see them bloom.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone! I'm going to go take the monkey out for a walk ^_~
