OOTD: Green and Blue Plaid with Gold Spikes

I took these photos before I left for Egypt, before the gold and green leaves turned russet and brown, before the rain muddied up the glorious piles of fallen leaves stacked high upon the ground. There is this perfect little walkway near my house where the trees line up in visual perfection, so I went there to snap these OOTD photos.

Plaid is totally having a moment right now, from everyone (myself included!) slinging a casual plaid shirt around the waist to rocking that ubiquitous red and black plaid skirt that makes me think Scottish Highlander. I got this studded version at Pimkie (a new German shopping discovery of mine!) and threw it on for a casual day out in the city.

Shirt- Pimkie // Jeans- Zara // Necklace- H&M // Boots- Pimkie

This shirt was purchased deliberately oversized to emulate a boyfriend shirt look. The stud details keep it interesting, especially when paired with a chunky gold necklace. I also love it tucked in and worn with a form-fitting skirt and tights for a date night out.

This is what I really looked like after taking the photos. I get cold very easily so I like to bundle up, just in case. This coat is from Zara, and since it's down, I can always compress it into a ball and tuck it into my huge black bag that fits, well, pretty much everything. I think it's time for an updated "What's in My Bag" post soon!
