Fashion: What To Pack For a Weekend Trip

This weekend we'll be taking a quick trip to Leipzig, Germany. I'm excited to do some exploring in the city of Bach (high on my itinerary are viewing the fabulous architecture of the churches and going to some orchestral concerts) but before I leave, I wanted to give you a peek into my weekender bag!

Here are what I deem as my ultra essentials:

Blue and white striped overnight duffle bag: There is something classic and Hamptons-esque about a naval-themed duffle bag that epitomizes weekend trips! It fits everything you need for a 3 day, 2 night stay at wherever you happen to be going, shoes and all- unless you're going skiing, that is.

Waterproof trench coat with hood from Barbour: Perfectly lightweight and breathable but waterproof, this jacket is so amazing that I bought the same one in two colors. The best part about this chic trench coat is that you can roll it into a tight ball and pack it into your bag if the sun starts shining!

Vintage leather crossbody bag: I love to sling this bag behind me to keep my hands free for shopping or tourist-y activities. It needs to be roomy enough to contain my Lumix, mini makeup bag, wallet, and sunglasses, but nothing too excessively large that gives you shoulder cramps after 8 hours of walking.

Oversized Zara tiger sweater: Nothing screams comfort in autumn than an oversized, slouchy sweater draped over leggings or jeggings in a totally fun, casual way. This will keep me comfy but fashionably fitted with 2013's favorite animal.

YSL La Laque Couture in #34 Jade Imperial: Obviously this was applied prior to the weekend, but the trendy jade color goes with everything! It's unique enough to catch the eye but neutral enough to not clash with the majority of your outfits.

Caudalíe Beauty Elixir: I don't go anywhere without my beauty elixir, and this weekend is no exception. The peppermint cooling toner will perk you right up better than a Starbucks- and less calories, too.

Panasonic Lumix G-Series: What kind of blogger would I be if I didn't capture my every moment on camera? I intend on doing a hotel review, a restaurant review, and some OOTD photos, so without my little buddy here, you'd be getting some grainy iPhone photos.

I'll try to live-blog from Leipzig so you can see what shenanigans I've been up to during the weekend. If not, I have some product review posts lined up to go so you won't go without me during the weekend. Happy Friday!
