Product Review: Korres Mango Lip Butter

My love for Korres knows no bounds. I swear I'm not sponsored by them, you guys. I just really genuinely love their products and find them to be such good quality for a very reasonable price. You can see in the following links my Korres reviews for the Pomegranate Toner, Basil Lemon Body Milk, Watermelon Body Scrub, Hair Treatment, Pomegranate Cleansing Masque, Aloe Vera Aftersun Body Milk, and Mandarin Lip Butter SPF 15... HOLY!

Korres Lip Butter in Mango: the color is definitely pretty- a deliciously sheer peach. I wavered between choosing the Quince (sheer rose) and the Wild Rose (sheer deep red) because those juicy reds tend to go best with my dark hair, but I decided to go out of my comfort zone and go with a lighter peach color for the summer.

I'm going to be honest per usual when it comes to my beauty products reviews and say that this is not my favorite Korres product. I much prefer the Mandarin Lip Butter SPF 15, which is the stick version of the Lip Butters (although the names are irritatingly the same). I find this Lip Butter to have too sticky of a consistency to the point where I end up wiping a lot of the product off. I don't want to have lips that look like I just dunked them into the jar.

On the plus side, I need very little of the product to achieve the natural look that I want. Just a wee dip into the jar and a quick swipe on the lips is all I need for a barely-there peach pout. I wouldn't say it has the best softening effect, and find my lips do dry out after application, so a pre-application of Nuxe Rêve de Miel is necessary, but double application of two different lip products is not what we're after, is it?

Bottom line:
Pros: color is gorgeous when applied sheerly for a natural look.
Cons: consistency is too sticky and can dry out your lips.

Trust me and skip on this product. Go for the Mandarin Lip Butter SPF 15 instead.
