I'm On A Yacht Series: MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream Product Review

Happy July 4th, Umerrica! I will eat a big fat juicy burger and toast Independence Day as best I can on a yacht in Croatia!

MoroccanOil is a product that hasn't really touched down in Korea yet, but I'd been hearing rave reviews about this particular product, so I ordered MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Creme about a month ago from Europe.

I usually don't do much with my hair (I'm a minimalist-kinda gal) but I knew that I'd had to deal with frizzy afro-like hair when on a yacht for 7 days, with rare access to proper showers and daily exposure to sun and salt water. My first solution was "wear a hat every day" and, while that may help, my hair ends can't be covered 24/7. I needed a moisturizing cream that I could apply to wet hair that would tame my thick locks without weighing them down into greasy limp strands.

MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Creme is perfect for the minimalist gal in me! All I do is give the bottle two pumps after a sojourn in the ocean, and work in the cream into my salt-ocean-soaked hair. As my hair dries in the sun, my main concerns of frizz and wild cavegirl hair dissipate! My hair dries smooth and glossy. Not only that, but soft, which is a major bonus! The smell doesn't hurt either- I've gotten loads of compliments on the scent wafting from my tresses after application ^_~

I've tested this in Thailand so I know that it works best in salt-ocean hair when wet, but it also works pretty well in chlorine-filled pool water hair as well. The key is applying when the hair is wet, at least for me anyhow, because when I apply when my hair is dry, it tends to look a bit greasy. Also, avoid application to the roots! Focus on the ends only, otherwise you can, again, get a little greasy situation going on.
