I'm On A Yacht Series: Korres Mandarin Lip Butter Lipstick SPF 15 Product Review

I am obsessive about protecting my face, neck, and hands because I read somewhere that those are the places that age the fastest when you have constant sun exposure. However, one part of my body that I consistently neglect to protect are my lips. I feel that I can just throw on any ole balm and be done with it. Bad Sarah! In some cases, lips are more sensitive than any other parts of the body, and you should always carry around an SPF lipstick/lip balm to apply constantly during the day.

Korres Mandarin Lip Butter Lipstick has the requisite SPF 15 built into its formula, and has the Shea butter and sunflower wax nourishing the heck out of your lips. I liberally apply this and it pretty much stays on- barring any wild lip activity- for a good 4 hours until I need a reapplication session

The color here swatched in indoor artificial lighting doesn't do it justice. On my lips, it works with my natural lip color to appear as a slightly pale pink, nothing like a frosty MAC Snob, mind you. It's sheer enough to be natural for daytime and for an easy, breezy look. I don't really gravitate towards pale pinks with my coloring but I think this color looks amazing with tan skin during the summer, hence its position as one of my summer essentials!

What lip products do you use during the summer? Are they SPF or more for aesthetic reasons?
