Haul: Europe+Korea July 2013 Edition

The last day of Yacht Week resulted in a mini backpack of mine getting lost. The iPhone 5 had to be replaced, which was relatively easy (and pricey grrrr!), but the little beauty items in my mini beauty bag has taken some time to collect, so I'd been keeping my eyes open for replacement items here and there while traveling. Also, there were some beauty products that I'd used up, so I also picked them up as well from Amsterdam Schipol Airport and all around Seoul.

At the Airport:

Riemann P20 SPF20 + SPF10: I've already waxed poetic about the wondrous qualities of Riemann P20 (my review here) so no need to get into it. I spotted these at the Amsterdam Schipol Airport on my way back to Seoul and immediately made a beeline for them as my P20 SPF10 had been running low after Yacht Week in Croatia. I got it in SPF20 as well because I've gotten quite brown after being on a yacht for a full week, but still plan on topping off my tan toward the end of the summer.

Dior Lip Glow: I was so annoyed when I lost my Dior Lip Glow in Croatia. This is my favorite high-end lip balm that enhances your natural lip color without compromising moisture and contains SPF10 for sun protection. Full review on this coming soon!

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash in 150mL (not pictured): Holy grail item! I've glowingly raved about this product so often, so just refer to my review here.

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash smaller version: I'm sure many people had complained about Origins lacking small travel-size versions of their amazing products, so this smaller version of my absolute essential is a lifesaver for me, especially when I travel. No longer do I need to squeeze my bigger bottle into a container! Will throw this into my travel makeup bag.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask smaller version: Masque launched in a smaller size by Origins as above. I'll do a review of this product soon as I've been loving the full-sized version of this for over 2-3 years now, and it never fails to give my face the sensation of having a facial at a spa for three hours. It works miracles.

OPI Neon Lights mini nail polish set: I love all things mini. It goes without saying that every airport that I happen to find myself in, I always go to the cosmetics part to stalk the nail polish for any new mini nail polish sets they have out. Neons are such a big trend this summer, and how fun are the little bottles? It comes with the essential white base coat polish that you need to apply to get maximum brightness, and four gorgeous neon colors.

In Korea:

This product features heavily in almost all my makeup bags because of its luxuriously yummy honey smell and amazing ability to soften my lips to the max. The older version contained white chocolate and honey, and the newer version contains orange and peppermint as well. I had intended on repurchasing this item when I discussed it in my Squeezed: April Edition post.

MAC concealer
MAC concealer in shade N25

MAC concealer in shade N20

N25 swatched on L, N20 on R
Two shades: one for the summer, as my tan from Croatia is still in full force, and one for the winter, when I tend to revert back to my usual skin shade that N20 matches perfectly.

Missha Eyeshadow sticks
Similar to my beloved Etúde House eyeshadow sticks, these from Missha have one side eyeliner, one side eyeshadow.

Brown, Purple, Green, and Blue

The eye-liners tend to be way darker than the eyeshadow colors. I swatched the eyeliner pencil here in the same order as the eyeshadow colors in the above photo. I'll be doing a Korean Beauty Product Series on all your asked about brands, so keep your eye out for that in the coming days!

Olive Young cucumber eye patches
Saw these little cucumber eye pads at Olive Young and thought they were such a cute concept, so purchased them. Will report back when I know how well they work at reducing dark circles and puffy eyes.

DHC Blotting paper
Another favorite of mine, this DHC blotting paper is from Japan and works marvelously on my face at dabbing away the excess oil because I hate wearing powder in the summer. You get 2 thin, slim packets, 100 sheets per packet.

My review of this product is here. I can't get enough of how deliciously peppermint-y this toner feels against my face, especially when that cooling effect comes in play when it's hot and humid.

This is my go-to base coat for all my nail needs. I also have a Nailed Series coming up, so you finally get to peek into my very ridiculously large nail polish collection.

I went to a hair salon I don't normally go to for an emergency blow-dry for my updated passport photo. I saw MoroccanOil shampoo, conditioner, and a few masques being sold at the salon and I squealed a bit out loud at their sudden availability in Korea. I'll do a proper product review on this after I finish using it.

Holy! That was a longer post than I planned. Hope you enjoyed! I'm still on the lookout for a wee little makeup container! Do you know of any small pouches that I can get?

  1. I want every single thing in this haul:)

    1. Some are total essentials! I'm doing a Korean Beauty Product Series so stay tuned, I know you've been spearheading a surge of interest in Korean beauty products in the UK and Ireland! <3
