Product Review: Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Mask

You all know what a Korres nut I am! I bought the Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Mask last month, and only got around to trying it recently.

Same dealio as with all other Korres products: no parabens/synthetic dyes/animal by-products/other bad stuff, not tested on animals, saves 5,000 kittens and puppies a day and feeds homeless people on the streets, etc etc etc.

The formula is similar to the Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleanser (my review of that product here) in its white clay-like texture, but unlike the Kiehl's product, the Pomegranate Cleansing Mask is not dug up from the depths of the Amazon River.

A thin layer should do it! The smell is pleasantly fruity, although not exactly pomegranate-scented. This comes from their added "fragrance", which I've read is actually not so great for the skin because the formula creating the fragrance is not exactly known to the manufacture, hence their calling it "fragrance". Despite this knowledge, I soldier on, primarily because for all I know, the product without the additional fragrance may smell like poo.

It dries fairly quickly, and after giving it a quick rinse, my skin has a cleaner feel. BUT! How much of that is derived from the Korres Cleansing Mask, and how much of that is because I just WASHED MY FACE? Conundrum. Anyhow, I don't think this product is all that great, which is surprising considering my stalwart devotion to the Korres brand. I think it's just unfortunately a matter of me having found a clay mask that just does a better job of purifying and cleansing. Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleanser, I pledge my undying love to you.
