Squeezed: April Edition

This month's Squeezed was pretty productive. I got through a massive jar of Origins Body Cream, which I was dying to use up because I wanted to start using my Korres Body Milks regularly. A lot of these products are going to be repurchased because they've become staples in my routine or holy grail objects, like the Origins Checks and Balances Foam Cleanser, the NARS Skin Smoothing Face Prep, and YSL Mascara. Sorry for the dark photos, it's thundering and pouring right now!

  1. Aēsop Volumising Shampoo 500mL: I have a "What's In My Shower" post coming up with a review of this in it soon, but perhaps a repurchase here? Probably not though.
  2. Aēsop A Rose by Any Other Name Body Cleanser 500mL: I have a "What's In My Shower" post coming up with a review of this in it soon. There may be a repurchase?
  3. Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash: A holy grail item, this product has been my go-to face-wash for the past three years. It cleanses without stripping the oils of your face, but leaves a super clean feeling. I'll do a product review on it soon.
  4. Origins A Perfect World Intensely Hydrating Body Cream with White Tea: Smells amazing, lasts forever. Great for winter because it's very hydrating. May repurchase when the weather turns colder.
  5. Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask: I got this mini version of their perfecting mask with a large purchase and I didn't really get into it until recently. This mask is glorious! Unlike my other tightening masks, this smooshy soft whipped texture feels airy on my skin. It also has a cooling effect, and the tingling feeling is very reassuring- it lets me know that it's working! The black tea ferment (also known as Kombucha!) makes my skin glow and absolutely velvety. Definitely will repurchase this one in a regular size.
  6. Origins Starting Over Oil-Free Moisturizer: Lightweight formula and clean smelling facial moisturizer for the impending hot summer. Will repurchase.
  7. Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair: Definitely a staple in my product, and a total holy grail object. I apply this on my face without fail, so it makes sense that I bought the massive 100mL version in Duty Free at Incheon Airport recently. I'll do a proper product review on this soon.
  8. Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero Smudge Curling Mascara in Black: I love the curve on this wand, which makes it super easy to reach my inner eyelashes, and the mascara does do a bit of curling, but I can't wear it alone because it doesn't give enough length. I would buy it again just for the wand.
  9. Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen: This was the pen that YSL ripped off for their Touche Éclat. I bought it initially as a concealer on my lips for wearing pale pink lipstick but found it super handy to throw into a clutch for nights out because it also highlights and conceals like a dream! Will repurchase.
  10. Missha The Style Dual Tip Eyeshadow Pen in Brown: This is a drugstore product from the Korean beauty brand Missha, but I love it. One side has an eyeliner and the other has an eyeshadow. I don't use the eyeliner much but find it handy for touchups on nights out. The eyeshadow, on the other hand, goes on flawlessly on the eyelid and stays on the entire day. It has subtle shimmer but looks natural enough for day.
  11. Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base: I swear by this eyeshadow base. Not only does it keep your shadow firmly in place all day long, but, ironically, it's also excellent as a makeup remover for those small spots if you want to tidy up your eyeliner/mascara. Just dab on a precision Q-tip and clean up.
  12. YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Waterproof in Black: My holy grail mascara. This one lengthens my puny Asian eyelashes, and stays on firmly for a good 24-36 hours. I've scuba-dived with this on and it still withstands the dive mask-on, mask-off action, the salt water, etc.
  13. Nars Larger Than Life Volumising Mascara in Black: I've already found my holy grail mascara, so this one unfortunately gets less loving from me. I don't like the stiff brush, and after application, I have to top up this mascara with a lengthening one because while I do get a lot of volume from this mascara, virtually no length.
  14. LUSH Honey Trap Lip Balm (new version here): After some research, I realize that I have the older version of Honey Trap that had only white chocolate and honey. Apparently the newer version contains orange and peppermint as well. This is one item that I fully intend on repurchasing. The smell is very strong that after application, it wafts out more than my actual perfume. Everyone who smells this on me has complimented me on the smell. The application requires just a dab- a little goes a long way. It makes my lips super smooth, especially after a good lip scrubbing of LUSH's Mint Julips (my review here). It stays on for a good 6 hours and I count it up there on my list of favorite lip balms with my Nuxe Rêve de Miel honey lip balm.
  15. Nars Skin Smoothing Face Prep: Holy grail object! Not only does it keep your makeup in place, but it is the perfect mattifiant if you don't have any oil absorption sheets on you. Definitely purchased another one (or two) as soon as I saw this one getting down to the nitty gritty.
I'm off to get myself some peppermint tea and watch the rain pour and lightning flash. I love a good thunderstorm!
