Product Review: Korres Watermelon Body Scrub

On a whim, I nabbed the Korres Watermelon Scrub last week while in a store in Germany, and let me tell you, this scrub has shot up to being my number one beauty product of the summer.

Packaged in a modern and sleek squeeze tube, this sensibility prevents me from dipping my germs into the scrub, which is a major problem I have with another favorite scrub, Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish (my review of that product here).

The ground bamboo with jojoba beads exfoliates your body without rubbing it raw, which makes this scrub perfect for twice a week use. This is ideal in the summertime when you want to be smooth prior to sunbathing or applying fake tan. It makes your body soft without leaving an oily residue, which I know is a complaint of some body scrubs.

Beyond all this, however, is the divine smell of juicy and delicious watermelon that wafts up to your nose when you squeeze the scrub out. It makes me think of watermelon shakes served in tall cold glasses that are beading with moisture from the humidity of summer. It reminds me of BBQs with friends in the backyard, hot dogs and burgers grilling while we carve open the watermelon to put in vodka inside. It makes me want to cannonball into the pool and come out shaking my hair only to take a giant bite into a huge slice of watermelon and spit the seeds out.

Free of parabens, mineral oils, and silicones, there is NO reason why you shouldn't grab one for this upcoming summer. There should be nothing holding you back from having silky smooth skin AND luxuriating in the delicious smell of watermelon too. I'm going to have to buy another before I leave Europe.
